Stop foxes fouling on your lawn - and digging up your beds

Spread Revira as a barrier around the area you want to protect - lawn edges, flower beds, bin areas or decking.

Foxes read the scent signal as an unfamiliar boundary in their territory and turn away before entering. No poison, no traps, no harm to the fox.

A well-kept English garden with a line of Revira granules along the lawn edge, and a red fox keeping its distance by the fence in the background.

How to use Revira

1 Create a 2m-wide protective barrier around the area you want to protect.
2 Position the barrier 1–5 metres in front of lawn edges, flower beds or bin areas – and along fences and hedges where foxes enter. Think of it as an invisible barrier foxes avoid crossing.
3 Rain naturally reactivates the granules after dry periods. Simply reapply every 3–6 months.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about Revira and how it works.

How long does Revira last compared to other fox repellents?

Most scent-based fox repellents last up to a month at best, need reapplying after heavy rain, and typically require 3-4 applications before foxes give up.

Revira is designed to last 3-6 months from a single application. Rather than washing away in rain, the granules are reactivated when wet - so British weather helps maintain the barrier rather than destroying it. One 2L box creates approx. 125 metres of barrier.

Will Revira stop foxes fouling on my lawn?

Foxes foul in prominent places - lawns, doorsteps, patios - to mark their territory. Revira works with that same instinct: the granules release a scent signal foxes read as an unfamiliar boundary, prompting them to turn away before entering rather than marking the area as their own.

Apply the barrier around lawn edges and any spots where fouling keeps happening.

Will Revira keep foxes from digging in my garden?

Yes - digging in lawns, flower beds and plant pots is one of the most common problems Revira is used for. Spread the granules as a 2-metre-wide barrier around the area, or along the fence line and hedges where foxes enter your garden.

Most foxes detect the boundary and move on. If a fox has already established a route through your garden, treat the route itself as well as the barrier.

Is Revira safe to use around dogs and cats?

Yes. Revira contains no poison and no chemical additives. The granules are ceramic - burnt clay, the same material as Leca - and are harmless to dogs, cats, children, wildlife and plants.

Unlike ultrasonic devices, there are no high-frequency sounds that can distress pets. Any leftover granules can be composted or left in the soil as a soil improver.

What smells deter foxes?

Foxes navigate and defend territory by scent, which is why smell-based deterrents are the most widely used approach. Home remedies like chilli, garlic or citrus fade within days and wash away in rain.

Revira takes the same principle further: the granules release a scent signal when moistened by rain or dew, which foxes read as an unfamiliar boundary in their territory. Because rain reactivates the signal instead of removing it, the barrier stays active for 3-6 months.

Is Revira an alternative to Scoot fox repellent?

Yes - if you've used Scoot, Revira works on the same principle: a scent signal foxes interpret as another animal's territory. The main differences are format and longevity.

Scoot is a soluble powder sprayed every few weeks and reapplied after rain; Revira is a granule barrier applied once every 3-6 months, reactivated naturally by rain. If you're looking for a longer-lasting, lower-effort alternative, Revira is designed for exactly that.

Does Revira provide 100% protection against foxes?

No deterrent can guarantee 100% results, and you should be wary of any that claims to. Revira works on foxes displaying normal territorial behaviour.

A fox with a strong food reward - an unsecured bin, pet food left out, or access to poultry - is highly motivated and harder to deter, so securing food sources is an important part of any fox strategy. Revira is a humane and legal approach: it deters without harming the fox, which also matters because poisoning foxes is illegal in the UK.
